The US space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is inviting all the public from the world with an opportunity to register & send their names to the surface of Mars.
The public names will be sent to the Red Planet aboard NASA’s 2020 rover. It is an attractive way for NASA to get the public engaged and excited about sending the next generation rover in search of extraterrestrial life.
The NASA's Mars 2020 rover is scheduled to launch next year summer in 2020 and to reach on the Red Planet in February 2021.
For registration of your name, you have to do is sign a short form on Link: (https://mars.nasa.gov/participate/send-your-name/mars2020/) before 30th September 2019.
NASA’s Mars 2020 mission will seek signs of ancient Martian life by deploying rover for investigating evidence in place and by caching drilled samples of Martian rocks for a potential future return to Earth.
It will carry out a search by conducting drills for core samples that may contain a proof of microbial life from the past. The rover will also examine different methods to create oxygen from Mar’s atmosphere.
