US Senate Appointed Jim Bridenstine As NASA Administrator

The US Senate has appointed Jim Bridenstine as the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the US space agency on April 20, 2018.

The US Senate voted 50-49 in support of Jim Bridenstine to be elected as new chief of NASA.

Jim Bridenstine is a pilot in the US Navy Reserve and has earlier served as the Executive Director of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum and Planetarium.

Jim Bridenstine also served on the House Armed Services Committee and on the Science, Space and Technology Committee.  Jim Bridenstine was also elected to the US Congress in 2012 to represent Oklahoma’s First Congressional District.

Jim Bridenstine started his naval aviation career by flying the E-2C Hawkeye off the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. He has a rich business experience in real estate, ranching, aerospace, and defense contracting.
