India's current Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been selected for the year 2018's 'Seoul Peace Prize'. They will be given this award for contributing to the Indian and the global economy.
The Award Committee appreciated their 'ModemMomics' in India to reduce the social and economic difference between rich and poor. This decision was taken after the selection committee meeting of Seoul-Jung-Y, chaired by the Seoul Peace Prize Cultural Foundation chairman Quan E-Hyok.
Choi Chung-Ho, chairman of the selection committee, said in her speech that the selection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been done for the efforts of the country's 1.35 billion people to improve their lives.
He has established economic relations with many countries for improving public welfare. Modi is making a big contribution to the global peace and stability of the Asia-Pacific region. He is promoting international cooperation through diplomacy.
Prize Selection Committee has described Prime Minister Modi as the 'Best candidate' for this award. Modi is the 14th man to receive this pooja.
The committee has also given credit to PM Modi for contributing to global and world peace through active foreign policy. The committee specifically mentions 'Modi doctorate' and 'act east policy'.
With this award, PM Modi will be given a sum of 2 million dollars.
