This scheme is for five years starting from 2016-17 with a project cost of Rs.499.94 crore to provide entrepreneurship to 7 lakh students through 3050 institutions.
The youngsters will be provided easily credit, information and mentor network, incubator etc.
PMUY scheme includes 2200 institutes of higher learning like colleges, universities etc., 300 schools, 500 ITIs, and 50 entrepreneurship Development centres through Massive open Online courses.
The two institutions which are included under PMYY scheme is IIE and NIESBUD which have 7 lakh trainees including 2,600 persons from 125 countries.
These two institutions are the part of ministry and are now focusing on mentorship of entrepreneurs.
