Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi will pay a 2-day visit to China for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit on 9th June to 10th June 2018.
During the SCO summit, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with the Chinese President Xi Jinping followed by the summit event on 10th June 2018.
India also aims to tie friendship goals by strengthening the demography of diplomatic relations with China.
The forthcoming 18th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO Summit-2018) will be held in Qingdao in China. This will be the first SCO summit after India became a member in 2017.
The main objective of this SCO summit is to strengthen the existing relationship between the member countries. Among other issues, the SCO summit is expected to focus on opportunities for cooperation among the member countries and the situation in the region.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, India’s focus will be on strengthening cooperation to fight terrorism, improving connectivity among member countries and bringing peace and stability in the region.
