Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit China on 27th April to 28th April 2018
PM Narendra Modi will meet President Xi Jinping in China’s Wuhan City to hold an informal summit in order to improve bilateral relations between both the countries.
At a joint media event, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi made an official announcement the PM Modi will be visiting the central Chinese city at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.
Indian Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj is also on a four-day visit to China to take part in the foreign ministers' meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). She reached Beijing, China on 21st April 2018.
Sushma Swaraj on the media event informed that the informal summit will be an important occasion for both the leaders to exchange views on bilateral and international matters from an over-arching and long-term perspective with the objective of enhancing mutual communication at the level of leaders.
Sushma Swaraj also informed that PM Narendra Modi will again visit China for the SCO summit in June 2018.
PM Narendra Modi had last month phoned President Xi to congratulate him on his re-election, when both of them agreed to nurture their bilateral relations as a realisation of the 21st Asian century.
