Prime Minister Narendra Modi planning to launch the Power for All scheme to Mark the birth centenary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on 25 December 2017.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be launching the scheme named Saubhagya. Saubhagya scheme aims to provide subsidy on equipment like transformers, meters and wires.
These all scheme listed on the agenda of Cabinet meeting held earlier last week.
The Saubhagya scheme expected to cover all rural families after expected electrification of all village by the end of 2017.
The union government has been working to electrify all villages in the country and wants to achieve full-time power for all by 2019.
