India's multi-wavelength telescope AstroSat measure X-ray polarization Crab pulsar (star) in Taurus constellation

Space agency ISRO announced that India's multi-wavelength telescope AstroSat has been successful in the measure the X-ray polarization of the Crab pulsar (star) in the Taurus constellation.

The finding was published in the journal Nature Astronomy on 6 November 2017.

The Astrosat team documented the result of their eighteenth-month study of the Crab pulsar in the Taurus constellation.

It also measured the variations of polarization as a highly-magnetized and exotic objective that spins about 30 times every second.

Taurus is the second astrological sign of the present zodiac. Taurus spans the 30-60th degree of the zodiac.
