Rs. 100 Coin on the birth centenary of Dr. MS Subbulkshmi Features, Design, and Detail
The Reserve bank of India presenting Rs. 100 coins first time on the market dedicated to legendary Carnatic singer Bharat Ratana Dr. MS Subbulakshmi with the new feature in the country.
The Central government of India Decides to coin rupees 100 as per clauses (d) and (e) of Sub section 2 of Section 24 of the coinage act 2011.
Features of Rs. 100 coins
- The front side of Rs 100 coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka pillar in the center.
- The legend Satyamev Jayate to be inscribed below the pillar.
- The coins shall bear On the left periphery of the coin Bharat in Devanagari script and the right periphery with the word India in English.
- The coin shall also bear the Rupee symbol and the denominational value 100 below the Lion Capitol nation symbol.
The reverse side of coins shall bear the portrait of Dr. MS Subbulakshmi with birth centenary of Dr. MS Subbulkshmi written in English on the lower periphery. The year 1916-2016 to be placed on the right periphery of the coin.
