Mother Teresa was is known by few names such as Albanian-Indian, Roman Catholic nun, and Missionary. Mother Teresa's birth name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. She is also known as Saint Teresa of Calcutta.
Mother Teresa was born in The Republic Of Macedonia. She spent her eighteen years there and after that, she moved to Ireland and then to India.
During her early life, Mother Teresa was fascinated by the lives of missionaries service in Bengal and by age of twelve, she committed herself to live religious life ahead. By the age of eighteen, she joined Sisters of Loreto, to learn English as it was the language instruction sisters of Loreto in India. After that, she did not see her family again.
Mother Teresa died (left this world) on 5th September 1997 in Kolkata.
Mother Teresa was first recognised by the Indian government for receiving Padma Shri in 1962.
After that, she received Jawahar Lal Nehru award in the year 1969.
She also received the Highest Civilian Award of India, Bharat Ratna in 1980.
Mother Teresa's official biography was published by Navin Chawla in 1992. Many worship her and admire her as an ideal.
