The first held ‘Khelo India School Games’ competition, which is a part of the ‘Khelo India Programme’, concluded on 8th February 2018 in New Delhi.
Haryana youngsters outshone other states by acquiring the highest number of medal tally in the inaugural edition of the Khelo India School Games.
The sports superheroes of Haryana won 102 medals, including 38 Gold medals, 26 Silver medals and 38 Bronze medals.
Maharashtra finished with the second position with a tally of 110 medals, including 36 Gold medals, 32 Silver and 32 Bronze medals.
Delhi team attained the third position with 94 medals, including 25 Gold medals, 29 Silver medals and 32 Bronze medals.
Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Rathore proclaimed that the inaugural edition of the Khelo India School Games was a great success. It was as grand as any International sports event.
R Rathore further added that the Khelo India School Games has provided government an immense satisfaction and now, it will be organised every year in a much better way.
