India and Canada have signed six Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) and Agreements on 23rd February 2018 in New Delhi.
The MoUs and Agreements were signed after delegation-level talks between Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Canadian Prime Minister, James Trudeau at a bilateral meeting in New Delhi.
The First, Joint Declaration of Intent was signed for cooperation in the field of Information Communications Technology and Electronics. It was signed between the Union Ministry of Electronics And Information Technology and the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development of Canada.
The Second, Terms of Reference for the India-Canada Ministerial Energy Dialogue between the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and the Department of Natural Resources of Canada.
The Third MoU was signed for cooperation in the field of Sport. It was signed between the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and the Department of Canadian Heritage (Sports Canada).
The Fourth MoU was signed for cooperation on Intellectual Property Rights. It was signed between the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office Concerning.
The Fifth MoU was signed for cooperation in the fields of Science, Technology and Innovation. It was signed between the Department of Atomic Energy of India and the Department of Natural Resources of Canada Concerning
The Sixth MoU was signed for cooperation in the areas of Higher Education.
