First International Print Biennale, an International Exhibition of Graphic Prints was held on 25th March 2018, at the Rabindra Bhavan Galleries of the Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi.
The Print Biennale India 2018 graphics exhibition was organised by Lalit Kala Akademi.
The Print Biennale India 2018 graphics exhibition showcased of total 200 original prints, which are being created by Indian and international artists of impeccable competence.
The Print Biennale India 2018 graphics exhibition Eminent Printmakers of India exhibited master Indian printmakers was also held on sidelines of it.
The Print Biennale India 2018 graphics exhibition showed the participation of 17 countries across the world which includes USA, UK, Sri Lanka, Italy, Mexico, China, Israel, Sweden, Lithuania, Poland, Argentina, Greece, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Mauritius.
The Print Biennale India 2018 graphics exhibition received a total of 988 entries at the national level out of which 127 were chosen for display.
Lalit Kala Akademi, also known as National Academy of Art is India’s national academy of fine arts. It is an autonomous organisation and was established in the year 1954, with an aim to promote and publicise understanding of Indian art, in and outside the country. It is headquartered at Ravindra Bhawan, New Delhi
Lalit Kala Akademi also gives scholarships and fellow program and sponsors and organises exhibitions in India and overseas. It publishes a bilingual journal. It works under the shied funds by the Union Ministry of Culture.
