General Bipin Singh Rawat PVSM UYSM AVSM YSM SM VSM ADC was an Indian Military Officer born on 16 March 1958 Pauri,Uttarakhand,India.
He was married to Madhumalika Rawat in 1985.They had two daughters Kritika and Tarini.
He was four-star general of the Indian Army.
Rawat has completed his early education from Cambrian Hall School,Dehradun and St. Edward's School,Shimla.
He was a graduate from the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and also obtained a MPhil degree in defence studies
and the Higher Command Course at General SaffCollege a Fort Leavenworth and the United States Army Command .

General Bipin Rawat died in a helicopter crash on 8 December 2021 along with his wife and other senior army officers and crew members.
The Helicopter (Mil Mi-17) was on its way to Defence Services Staff College (DSSC),Wellington
where he was supposed to deliver a speech.
