The Meghalaya Government has unveiled a new Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS-IV) in accordance with that of the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat scheme.
The Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS-IV) was launched by Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad K Sangma on 20th December 2018 at a event an in Shillong, Meghalaya.
The MHIS-IV scheme targets to cover more than 8 lakh households offering over 2300 medical and surgical packages and up to Rs 5 lakh per family.
The MHIS-IV scheme will be functional on effect from 1st February 2019.
The MHIS-IV scheme will cover all citizens in the state while the Ayushman Bharat (Centre’s Scheme) targeted the bottom 40 percent of lower income families.
