India’s first Arbitration centre MCIA (Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration) launched in Mumbai by the chief minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadanvis.
MCIA is a non-profit organisation governed by the national and international legal luminaries.
This centre has been launched to solve the business related problems through arbitration.
This policy will be joined in the make in India Campaign and will enable less time and cost effective facility to the investors.
The total funds required for this scheme related to the resolving of cases is around $5 billion but soon MCIA will bring down the cost.
This centre will provide different facilities to the business like Infrastructure, all time functionality and the recording services during the process of arbitration.
Earlier, 30% of the Indian cases of Arbitration were being handled by Singapore and London Arbitration centres.
