India's boxer and six times World Champion MC Mary Kom has again clinched Gold medal at 23rd President’s Cup 2019 held in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia.
MC Mary Kom defeated April Franks of Australia with 5-0 without breaking a sweat. With this win, the Olympic bronze medallist Boxer has asserted her supremacy in a lop-sided 51kg bout final.
MC Mary Kom (36-year-old) Indian boxer earlier had claimed her 6th world title in 2018 in New Delhi.
MC Mary Kom in May 2019 had also won a gold medal at India Open boxing tournament.
MC Mary Kom will now be looking to qualify for 2020 Tokyo Olympics in 2019 World Boxing Championships for women which will be held from 7th September to 21st in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
Apart from MC Mary Kom gold win, India's Simranjit Kaur also won gold defeating Indonesia's Asian Games bronze medallist Hasanah Huswatun by 5-0.
Simranjit Kaur is the Asian Boxing Championships silver medallist.
