ISRO GSAT-18 India, SKY Muster Australia on 4th Oct Arianespace

 

 

ISRO Satellites GSAT-18 and SKY Muster II launch by Arianespace at Ariane Launch Complex No.3 (ELA) in Kourou, French Guiana ESA on 4th October 2016 

Sky Muster II will be launched for Australian Operator nbn (National Broadband Network) to spread high-speed internet to the entire country.

It is the 59th SSL (Space Systems Loral) satellite for Australia using a 1300 platform.

GSAT-18   to provide telecommunication services for India

GSAT-18 will be the 20th satellite from ISRO launched by Arianespace which has a launch mass of 3404 kg.

This satellite is designed to provide stability of services on operational satellites in C-band and Ku-Bands.

GSAT-18 will be positioned at 74 degrees East Longitude and the life of this satellite is 15 years providing an orbit of GSO.

It has a power of about 6474 W from Solar Arrays and two 144 Ah Li-Ion batteries Ariane-5 VA-231.
