Every year on December 23rd, Farmer's Day is commemorated. In Hindi, Farmer's Day is called as Kisan Diwas.
National Farmer's Day, also known as Kisan Diwas, commemorates the birth anniversary of Shri Choudhary Charan Singh, the 5th Indian Prime Minister and a famous farmer's leader. He implemented a number of initiatives aimed at improving the life of Indian farmers. Various events, programmes, discussions, quiz competitions, workshops, and exhibitions on agriculture are held on this auspicious day to transform and educate the general public about agriculture and its relevance.
