Japan has done submarine exercises for the first time in the disputed South China Sea. This military exercise, however, was removed from the claimed waters of China.
Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force submarine Kuroshio conducted military exercises in the South China Sea with other warships.
In this military exercise, Japanese warships, including Kaga helicopter ships, also took part. This vessel is currently on a two-month trip to Southeast Asia and the Indian Ocean region.
This is the first time that the Japanese Navy has started military exercises in the South China Sea region.
In a separate statement, the Defense Ministry said that with the 80 drivers, the Kuroshio submarine will remain on the strategic naval base of Vietnam near Cam Ranh Bay from September 17, 2018, for five days.
China, which claims most of the maritime areas, has warned Japan that it did not take any action which harmed peace and stability in the area.
China claims its claim over the entire South China Sea. In order to strengthen this claim, he has also made military bases on many artificial islands. Every year from the South China Sea, there is a turnover of five trillion US dollars through vessels.
Since the seizure of China by Philippine in 2012, there has been a lot of tension in the region with respect to Scarborough Shoal. The practice of submarine was the first such exercise done by the Tokyo side in the South China Sea.
Although China claims its right over the entire South China Sea, Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and Taiwan also claim it. The United States has also done military exercises to ensure free movement in this area.
