Janani Suraksha Yojana is launched by the government of India on 12th April 2005 by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The main aim of this scheme is to reduce the number of neo-natal and maternal death happening across the country.
As per the new study it has been found that this scheme is helpful in reduction of the socio economic disparities among the people.
It has also led to the reduction between rich and the poor having different socio economic status.
This Yojana is been utilised by the women of OBC, Dalit, Adivasis and muslims.
The people from different classes have been utilising the services especially poorer and underserved sections of the rural areas.
Women of 20s are more likely interested in availing the maternal care facilities as compared to the old women.
