ISRO launched 8 satellites in its 37th flight (PSLV-C35) to give weather related services with the help of scatterometer payload.
It is the first mission to launch in two different orbits and it became successful.
The primary satellite SCATSAT-1 will be informative in weather forecasting for the communities and will help to tract and detect the cyclone.
Out of 7 passenger satellites, two satellites are PRATHAM which has a weight of around 10 kgs and PISAR WEIGHING 5.25 kgs are the satellites involved by the students of IIT Bombay and PES University Bangalore.
The other 5 passenger satellites were of Algeria, Canada and United States.
The total number of satellites launched by the Indian workhorse are 121 satellites out of which Indian satellites are 42 and 79 are abroad.
