The International Translation Day (ITD) is observed every year on 30 September to promote the Translation profession in different countries.

The International Translation Day is observing for the first time on 30 September 2017 which is celebrated with an aim to play Tribute the work of Languages professional.

International Translation Day (ITD) Aim and objective

* It will play an effective role to bring the nation together, facilitating dialogue, contributes to the development and strengths world peace and security.

* The International Translation Day also recognizes for transposition of literary or scientific work from one language into another.

As indispensable to preserve clarity, climate, and productiveness in international public communication.

* In 1953, The Day ITD was established by the International Federation of Translators (FIT).

* The Day Observed annually on 30 September on the Feast of St. Jerome, the Bible translator who is considered as the Patron Saint of Translators.

Adaptation resolution 71/288 to proclaim 30 September as International Translation Day (ITD) after considering the role of language professional in connecting nations and fostering peace, understanding, and development.
