What is Democracy?

Democracy is followed by most of the countries in the globe and is one of the world's largest demographic power for any population. People have the rights under democracy to elect their government and leaders by voting and other surveys. 

International Day Of Democracy on 15 September

Every year on the same date, 15 September, the International Day of Democracy is celebrated.

As International Day of Democracy on November 8 in 2007, the United States General Assembly announced September 15 to promote and protect democratic values, and called upon all member nations and organizations, to mark the day in a way that promotes public awareness.  Independence from British control has frequently become a democratic state in 1947. India is the world's biggest democratic country.

The first Celebration for internation day of democracy was held on 15 September 2008.
