International Coffee Day is celebrated every year on 1st October 2019 around the world with an aim to recognize and celebrate the efforts of all those people who are linked with the coffee business.
International Coffee Day is also celebrated to create awareness about issues of coffee farmers across the world.
International Coffee Day was first officially celebrated on 1st October 2015, as agreed by the International Coffee Organization (ICO) and it was launched in Milan, Italy.
International Coffee Organization (ICO) was established in 1963 in London, UK (United Kingdom) with the primary objective to tackle the challenges facing the world coffee sector through international cooperation.
The member Governments of ICO represent 98% of world coffee production and 67% of world consumption.
