Union Cabinet approved review of the first cadre of Indian Posts and Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service (IP and TAFS)

The union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval for the review of the first cadre of Indian Posts and Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service (IP and TAFS).

Several posts have been increased and reduced the total strength of Cadre

In the review it was decided to reduce the total strength of Cadre from 420 to 376.

The creatures to new posts like HAG+ with grade strength of 2, HAG grade strength from 6-8 and 18 additional SAG posts with grade strength of 37-35.

It was also decided to review the JAG level post from 111 to 90 and STS post from 198 to 86.

46 posts will be created as reserves and 21 JTS posts with grade strength of 67 to 88.

One Apex level post for Controller General of Communication Accounts (CGCA) will also be created.

These features have been coupled with inactivity of various grades as a review of IP and TAFS.
