It will import LPG from Gujarat and will carry 3.75 million tons per annum to Gorakhpur via Ahmedabad, Ujjain, Bhopal, Allahabad, Kanpur and Lucknow.
GAIL currently carries 2.5 million tons per annum from Jamnagar to Loni measuring around 1,415 kilometre.
The demand for LPG is rising day by day and to cater this demand IOC will be putting this pipeline.
It will also help to foster the government policy of providing LPG to every household in the country.
The demand has grown to 10.5% but it is creating problems to supply LPG as per the demand, so it is important to import LPG from the ports to curb the demand.
Thus, the rates of LPG is expected to rise in the upcoming year.
