Dinesh Karthik full name as Krishna Kumar Dinesh Karthik, popularly known as ‘DK’ (age 33 years) is an Indian National & International Cricket Team Player.

Dinesh Karthik is a Right-Handed Batsman and Wicket Keeper. He has represented India, in all the three formats of International Cricket which includes Test, ODIs & T20Is.

Dinesh Karthik till date (March-2018) had played ‘79’ ODI matches, scoring 1,496 Runs (67-Innings) and ‘19’ T20I matches scoring 270 Runs (17-Innings). He also played ‘23’ Test matches, scoring 1,000 Runs in (37-Innings) till the year 2010.

Dinesh Karthik holds a superb record in Domestic/First-Class cricket, scoring over 19,000 Runs in all the formats of Cricket. He is also considered as one of the giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Dinesh Karthik has made his demanding entry in Indian International Team Squad during the captaincy of Former Indian Cricketer Saurav Ganguly in the year 2004. Since then he has faced a lot of ups & down in his career regarding his selection in the Indian International Cricket Squad.

Dinesh Karthik made his ODI match debut on 5th September 2004, against England at Lords in England. He played his last ODI match on 17th December 2017, against Sri Lanka at Vishakhapatnam, India. 

Dinesh Karthik made his Test match debut on 3rd November 2004, against Australia at Mumbai, in the year 2004 and has played his last Test match on 17th January 2010 against Bangladesh in Chittagong, India. Since then he has been not selected for the Indian Test team squad.

Dinesh Karthik made his T201 match debut on 1st December 2006 against South Africa at Johannesburg in South Africa.

Dinesh Karthik played his last T20I match on 18th March 2018, against Bangladesh in ‘Nadihas Trophy Finals’ held in Sri Lanka. He was awarded as ‘Man of the Match’ award for his outstanding batting, scoring ‘29 Runs’ off just ‘8 Balls’ in the death over’s, hitting a six in the last ball making India win the series.
