Indian Navy Operation Trident success on 4th December celebrations as Indian Navy Day

Navy Day is celebrated every year on 4th December. On this day the officers of the Navy are remembered. Navy Day is celebrated as the celebration of the victory of Indian Navy in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

Navy Day is celebrated in memory of the strength and bravery of the Indian Navy who won the Indo-Pak war in 1971.

Under the 'Operation Trident', the Indian Navy attacked Pakistan's Karachi naval base on December 4, 1971. Keeping in mind the success of this operation, Navy Day is celebrated every year on December 4.

Indian Navy is a part of the Indian Army, which was established in 1612. The East India Company had formed an army in the form of East India Company's Marine to protect its ships.

Which was later renamed the Royal Indian Navy. After India's independence, the Navy has formed again in 1950 and it was named as the Indian Navy.
