Indian Army's Chetak corps of South Western Command conducted Gandiv Vijay military exercise in Mahajan field firing ranges of Rajasthan.
The Gandiv Vijay military exercise was conducted for two months to validate army's operational plans of Chetak corps till 23rd May 2018.
The Gandiv Vijay is the Military exercise of South Western Command’s Chetak Corps. The exercise began two months ago in Mahajan Field Firing Ranges of Rajasthan. Thousands of soldiers underwent an intensive training in fields of Rajasthan. The training was given on how to handle a war by using modern technology, intelligence-related data, surveillance, reconnaissance, etc. Intensive training is given on how to use the war equipment.
The Gandiv Vijay Military Exercise played out battles in a network-centric environment. Land and air battles are both the part of the exercise. Air- Land operations are the major objectives of Gandiv Vijay military Exercise.
The Gandiv Vijay Military Exercise is an integrated exercise involving multi-mode mobilization from dispersed locations, to the time and place of decision in a terrain orchestrated on the lines of operational responsibility for the formation.
The participating formations was carried out synergistic employment of long-range vectors along with the infantry and mechanized forces and the air arm to achieve a decisive victory.
