The Indian Air Force (IAF) on 22nd May 2019, (Wednesday) has successfully test-fired the aerial version of the supersonic 'BrahMos Cruise Missile' from a Su-30 MKI fighter jet.
According to the IAF's officials, the launch from the Su-30 MKI fighter jet was smooth and the missile followed the desired trajectory before directly hitting the land target.
The capability of the BrahMos cruise missile doubled with the superlative performance of the Su-30MKI aircraft gives the IAF the desired strategic reach. It has a range of 300 Km.
