Indian Army replacing Gypsy with Tata Safari Storme, Tata Xenon

 

 

Indian Army replacing old Maruti Gypsy vehicle with Tata Motors Safari Storme and Tata Xenon

The vice President of Defence Business Varnan Noronha stated that soon defence ministry will purchase 500 Tata Xenon for border patrolling.

Tata Xenon will be replaced with current Gypsy and Indian Army will purchase 3,192 Tata Safari Storme.

Safari Storme has 6 speed manual gear-boxing, engine 154 BHP strength and produces 400 NM of torque

Its special features like all-wheel drive and electronic shift-on the fly.

Safari Storme provides benefit of ABS system and EBD and also drive 12.8 seconds 0-100 km per hour fast speed.

Tata Xenon has diesel engine of 2.2 litre, 145 BHP and provides 320 NM of torque.

Tata Xenon’s engine encrypted with Automatic Transmission.
