Indian Naval Ship INS Tarasa commissioned into the Indian Navy in Mumbai (Maharastra) on 26 September 2017

Indian Navy Ship INS TARASA was commissioned into the Indian Navy in Mumbai on 26 September 2017 at Dockyard, Mumbai (Maharastra).

Indian Navy Ship TARASA (T94) is a patrol vessel of the Car Nicobar-class of India Navy and the last ship in the series of four water jet fast attack craft.

Indian Navy Ship (INS) which is an improved variant of the Car Nicobar-class high-speed offshore patrol vessels.

The ship is designed for a maximum speed of 35 knots with an endurance of nearly 2000 nautical miles with a 315-tonne displacement. 

INS Tarasa is fixed with the CRN-91 indigenous 30mm gun with optronic pedestal, powered by the latest 4000 series MTU engine with advanced machinery control system.
