External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj arrived in Mongolia, becoming the first Indian foreign minister to visit the resource-rich country in 42-years.
Swaraj was received by Deputy foreign minister of Mongolia B Battsetseg at the airport.
Among other issues, The leaders discussed cooperation between the two parliaments, which is an important pillar of their bilateral relationship.
Sushma Swaraj and her Mongolian counterpart Damdin Tsogtbaatar co-chaired the sixth round of the India-Mongolia Joint Consultive Committee (IMJCC), focusing on a range of issues including economic, energy, political, strategic, educational and cultural ties.
Sushma Swaraj said that both sides agreed to jointly combat terror and boost bilateral trade.
