India and Norway have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 7th June 2018 in New Delhi to extend cooperation in the field of health.
The MoU was signed between Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The MoU signed was envisioned through the Norway India Partnership Initiative (NIPI) for a period of 3 years starting from 2018 to 2020.
The MoU between India and Norway is aimed at the development goals of Government of India as outlined in its National Health Policy 2017 for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This India and Norway cooperation shall also focus on global health issues of mutual interest like areas related to maternal, newborn, child health etc
