India and Malta signed 3 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) in the fields of Maritime Cooperation, Tourism and Training.
All these three MoUs were signed after delegation level talks between Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and President of Malta, Ms. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
Vice President Naidu visited in Malta in the second phase of his visit to three European countries viz. Serbia, Malta and Romania. It was the first senior Indian leader to visit Mediterranean nation in last 28 years.
First MoU was signed in the field of Tourism Cooperation between India-Malta
Second MoU on Mutual Cooperation between Foreign Service Institute, Ministry of External Affairs and Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies, University of Malta.
Third MoU on Maritime Cooperation signed between India’s Ministry of Shipping and Malta’s Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects
