Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi visits Thimpu, Bhutan for a two-day official tour from 17th August to 18 August 2019.,
On the Occasion, India and Bhutan agreed to take the bilateral ties to new heights and take the cooperation in fields like education, hydropower, LPG, Space, Hospitals amongst others.
PM Modi also mentioned India will cooperate with Bhutan in increasing clean fuel supply, launch of Rupay card, foreign currency swap arrangement and enhancing cooperation in science and tech sectors, etc.
India’s assistance to Bhutan through the five-year-plans will continue.
India and Bhutan ties will also continue in creating prosperity, development, and security for people of both countries.
PM Narendra Modi will be addressing the students of the the Royal University of Bhutan on the second day (17th August 2019) of his visit and further visiting the National Memorial Chorten. He will finally depart for New Delhi from Paro on 18th August 2018.
