India and Bangladesh armies set the joint military exercise SAMPRITI-7 in Meghalaya's Umroi cantonment, on 6 November 2017. The joint Exercise will be concluded on 11 November 2017
The exercise began with the inauguration of the up to date Joint Training Node at Umrio Cantonment. Umrio Cantonment is located about 25 km from Shillong, Meghalaya.
A total of 20 officers from the Indian Army and 14 officers from the Bangladesh Army will be taking part in this seventh edition of the Exercise SAMPRITI.
The Field Training Exercise (FTE) will see the participation of one Infantry company each from the Bangladesh Army and elite Red Horns Division of the India Army.
