The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exam is one of the most prestigious exams in India and is used to identify scientific aptitude in students. It was started in 1999 to help provide an incentive to students to take up scientific research. Scientific research is one of the areas that India is slowly improving on and it has the potential for a student.
The student must also have secured 80% in science and maths in 10th standard and 60% in science and maths in 12th standard(or equal letter grades). Furthermore, to continue holding the fellowship, the fellow must get around 60% to continue holding it or forfeit the fellowship.
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exam has two parts to it. Unlike most 10+2 exams in our country, it has an interview as the second part. Candidates are called for the interview based on their aptitude test performance
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exam is divided into three streams: SA/SX/SB. The SA is for 11th standard students, SX for 12th and SB for the 1st year of undergraduate. All have the aptitude test and then the interview.
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exam will give a fellowship to qualifier for it. The fellowship will be activated once you take up a course in one of the following:
