Imran Khan started his political career in lates 90s by founding his own party name Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf PTI (Pakistan Justice Movement). He became third pole in Pakistan politics, criticising big two Monopoly of Pakistan (Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz).
Imran Khan won a seat in Election 2002, President Parvez Musharraf offered him Premiership but Imran Khan refused to say he doesn't want to be a dummy Prime Minister and PM under a dictator.
Parvez Musharraf got annoyed and put him in jail. Imran Khan continued his struggle but did boycott Election 2007. Till then he was getting popular day by day but he got media attention in his largest jalsa of 300k-400k people in Lahore.
Imran Khan continued exposing Nawaz Sharif and Zardari corruption meanwhile Panama Leaks happened so Nawaz got disqualified and later got sentenced 10 years of imprisonment in corruption charges.
