Himanshu Joshi, a famous Hindi story writer, and journalist passed away on November 23, 2018. He was 83 years old and had been sick for a long time. Himanshu Joshi was a resident of Uttarakhand. Himanshu Joshi wrote many famous works in Hindi literature.
Himanshu Joshi had good knowledge of Hindi, English and Urdu language. He has written several story collections, poems collection, and zodiacal stories. He was born on 04 May 1935 in the village Josuuda of Khetikhan. He studied up to VIII in Vernacular High School of Agricultural Education.
Major novels such as 'Amarnya', 'Mahasagar', 'Chhaya Mujhe Mat Chhuna' written by Himanshu Joshi have so far been published. Apart from this, many story collections, poetry collections, travel stories, and conceptual memoirs have also been published.
His stories and novels are translated into Punjabi, Dongari, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Konkani, Tamil Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Bangla, Assamese, English, Nepali, Burmese, Chinese, Japanese Italvi, Bulgarian, Korean, Norwegian, written by many of his novels and stories. He received the many awards from central as well as from different states.
