Atal Pension Yojana is under the Government of India.Swavalamban Yojana is replaced by this scheme.
This scheme aims to provide income security to old age people and to those who belong to the Unorganised Sector.
The Yojana was launched by PM Narendra Modi on 9th May 2015.
The scheme became operational from 1st June 2015 & mainly focused on providing old age security to the unorganised workers.
1) Scheme provides pension range between Rs. 1000-Rs. 5000.
2) The contribution level varies as per the conditions ( early & late )joining.
3) After the death of Beneficiary ,the spouse is eligible for availing the pension.
1) It is open to those people who are not a member of any statutory social security scheme.
2) Age limit 18-40 years.
