PM Innovative Learning Program (Dhruv) is an initiative of the Government of India,under the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Dhruv has been launched to grow the knowledge of kids and make them capable to achieve their goal.
The name of the scheme is based on the pole star called 'Dhruv Tara' and it wa launched on 10 October 2019 by the
Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishant' and the program was launched at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) headquarters in Bengaluru.
The Indian Government will encourage talented & gifted children to reach their highest potential.
Childrens will be mentored by experts from all across the country.Area of main focus are- Arts & Science.
Around 60 students studying between classes 9-12 ,will be choosed from all over the country.
The first batch of this initiative program was implemented in October 2019.
60 Brilliant Students,30 from Science & 30 from Arts were choosen for the first Batch from Both private and government schools.
A 14 days learning experience was arranged for the students for both groups and the students were further divided into 3 groups.
Experts were alloted for both streams to guide them and to provide them a better learning experience.
The program intends to focus on other streams in the upcoming years.
