The Government of India launch ‘Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat’ Scheme on 31st October 2016 on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel to link the districts together.
All the states and the districts will be connected through cultural and tourism schemes.
This scheme was launched by Finance Minister Arun jaitley while presenting the 2016-2017 budget in Lok Sabha on 29 February.
The main for the formation of this scheme is to create closer engagement between states and Districts in a structured manner.
This scheme will boost the unity in India through existing cultural connections among the various parts of the country.
One can popularize heritage through literary programs, food festivals, song festivals etc.
