1. World Intellectual Property Day or World IP Day is observed on 26th April 2018 across the world with the theme Powering Change: Women in Innovation and Creativity.

2. United Nations (UN) International Chernobyl Disaster Remembrance Day is observed globally on 26th April 2018 in tribute to Ukraine’s nuclear reactor explosion in 1984.

3. Union Ministry Human Resource Development launched Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 program scheme on 25th April 2018 in New Delhi.

4. Jammu and Kashmir government becomes first Indian state to approve implementation of the 7th central pay commission recommendations with the effect from January 2016.

5. India and World Bank signed $210 million loan agreement to improve Madhya Pradesh rural roads connectivity project.

6. Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed in principle to give an aid of Rs 1,700 crore to Uttarakhand for infrastructure development and creation of sewerage treatment facilities in urban areas.

7. India’s Squash Player, Velavan Senthilkumar (22 years old) who hails from Chennai, wins the first (Professional Squash Association) PSA World Tour title. He defeated Tristan Eyrele of South Africa in the finals of the Madison Open in the USA.

8. India’s Shooter, Shahzar Rizvi (23 years old) who hails from Meerut, wins Silver Medal in 10m Air Pistol Up Category scoring 239.8 points in the finals at the ISSF World Cup held in Changwon, South Korea.

9. Former Indian foreign secretary Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has been appointed Tata group President of global corporate affairs.

10. A two-day coastal security exercise 'Sagar Kavach' concluded on 25th April 2018 in Kerala. The exercise aims to strengthen and assess the loopholes in the coastal security mechanism along Kerala shores.
