The Union Government announced that an indigenous development lightweight Glide bomb has been successfully tested in Chandipur, Odisha. The development marks a major milestone in developing such weapons.
The development lightweight Glide bomb was dropped from an India Airforce aircraft at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, Odisha on 2 November 2017
The developmental Glide bomb is a lightweight long-range precision-guided anti-airfield weapon, designed to destroy ground targets such as runway, bunkers, aircraft hangers and others reinforced structures.
