The Government of Haryana signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an integrated trade facilitation service organization to set-up a logistics and trading hub in the state.
A release from CII said the hub would attract investment to the tune of Rs 20, 000 crore.
The hub will be spread over an area of 600 acres near Gurugram and the public-private project id expected to generate employment for six lakh people.
Under the MoU, the government will facilitate Verbind’s efforts to obtain necessary permissions, registration, approval, and clearness with reference to the project from relevant departments, in line with existing rules, policies and regulations.
The role of the nodal agency for the project will be played by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC).
The state of Haryana is ranked first among north India states in the ease of doing the business index of the union government and sixth overall.
