Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath unveils city's own airport on 14th June 2017. CM Yogi Adityanath comes from Gorakhpur city. This is an hounor for Gorakhpur people getting their first airport.
According to CM Yogi Adityanath Uttar Pradesh getting more opportunities in aviation sector. Soon many cities of Uttar Pardesh be connected with nation and International air routes.
Gorakhpur terminal features
Total cost in developing Gorakhpur Civil Airport comes around 22.5 Crore. This terminal can bear 100 passengers. It's area canopy capacity is 1112 sq.meter.
Gorakhpur terminal has 4 checkin points. It is equipped with 2 x-Ray machines and 3 frisking booths. It has 3 seater 30 chairs for travelors.
New terminal building developed for keeping increase in passengers numbers. Passenger terminal building is framed with steel and galss doors.
Airconditioned terminal building equipped with latest aviation supporting equipments, CCTV, PA system, fire extinguishers and various panic alarms.
