Geography: Arid Landforms, Wind Eroded, Water Eroded and explanation of sediments

Arid means dry so it would be sold found in dry are desert areas. It is usually a rocky or sandy and lifeless soil low on organic material and usually not able to support plant growth very well.

When a river flows, it brings sediments with it. Suspension, solution, traction of sediments. Sediments are like sand, pebbles, cobbles, boulders, other types of vegetation like tree trunks, twigs, leaves.

When sediments slide on the riverbed of a solid rock, it will erode some of the rock. The river flows continuously, therefore erosion occurs continuously.

When the wind is blowing, it carries small sediments, like sands. Sands will flow accordingly in the direction of the wind. The sands will bump into a solid rock continuously and will create frictions thus eroding it.

If a wind carrying a sand and blowing towards our face, it will hurt our skin. Just imagine our skin is exposed to the friction of the sand continuously, it will create blister and so on.

That is why the Bedouin people living in the Saharan Desert close their face entirely even when the temperature is very hot during the day. Because they don't want sand to eroding their face.
