Gandhian Thought and Swachhata Seminar in Wardha (Maharashtra)
In the Wardha district of Maharashtra, the ministry of Drinking water and sanitation has organized a seminar on Gandhian thought and to Make India Swachh Bharat by 2019 as we are going to celebrate the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi.
It is organized with the objective of making India as Swachh Bharat Mission has been started in our country from the initiative taken by our prime minister Narendra Modi to promote Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
For this purpose proper technologies in rural sanitation, organic waste management, and preventive sanitation.
This mission is jointly managed Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation for Gramin and Ministry of Urban Development for urban.
In this mission of SBA Making Community and Public Toilets, Solid waste management, information, Education and Communication as well as public awareness, administrative and office expenses.
All the initiative is taken to reach this level to finish the objective of SBA.
Rural sanitation increased from 39% at the launch of SBA in 2014 to over 95% today.
